Addressing people, Jagan Reddy sent a clear message to the people of Andhra Pradesh that defaulters will not be saved from the national blockade.
"Together we win, divided we lose. Time to unite and fight the coronavirus," Prime Minister Jagan Reddy said in a televised message.
YS Jaganmohan Reddy also thanked the people, working tirelessly in the fight against Covid-19.
In particular, he thanked the village volunteers, surveyed households, and collected data on foreign returnees, ASHA workers, ANMs, doctors, health workers, etc.
In a very firm voice, CM Jaganmohan Reddy reiterated that each of the guidelines issued by Prime Minister Narendra Modi must be followed and strict measures will be taken against those who do not.
"Overcrowding in market areas has been witnessed in the past four days, steps have been taken to ensure that social distancing is maintained at all points and must be strictly implemented," said Jagan Reddy.
He added: "Ensuring that all possible needs are available in abundance is our duty and we will ensure that steps are taken for the same."
The prime minister said that all district collectors have received strict orders to ensure that citizens, who need food, water, shelter, medicine or any other need, obtain it shortly after the distress call is made to the unified number 1902 .
So far, Andhra Pradesh has tracked more than 11,000 foreign returnees through its network of volunteers. Four critical care hospitals have been established in the state to treat coronavirus cases.
"The travel restrictions have been in place for a reason. I ask people to stay where they are. This is temporary," he said.
Jagan Reddy also warned people and reminded that the state and the country will not be able to defeat the coronavirus if the propulsion is not limited to their homes.
"Please stay where you are right now," said Jagan Reddy.
